If loving a turtleneck sweaters is wrong, I don’t wanna be right. There’s something so sophisticated about seeing someone in a fitted turtleneck sweater. Icons like Audrey Hepburn, Steve Jobs, Ru Paul, and even my hubby have been known to rock this classic top. (Ok, that last person is in no way famous, but he’s an icon to me.) The more I write to you all about my personal fashion staples the more I discover how particularly picky I am and turtleneck sweaters are no exception. Too loose and I feel frumpy. Too itchy and I’m scratching my entire top half to no end, and as a petite woman with a very full bust a turtleneck sweater with a fitted silhouette keeps my waist from falling on the wayside and ensures an overall polished look. Per usual, when there is an item I am passionate about I spend a great deal of time researching what works for me. After much trial and error I have found the perfect fitted turtleneck sweaters and I want to share them with you.

First up is the best fitted turtleneck of all time. (Ok, maybe just of my lifetime.) Without fail this turtleneck sweater from Express gives me everything I want in an array of colors. I currently have four of these beauties and I plan on getting more. Coming in at a close second is this sweater from H&M and the featured sweater in this entry. Polar opposites in price and possibly aesthetics this option gives a lot of bang for your buck. The fabric is thinner than the Express turtleneck sweater making it perfect for one who wishes to layer a fitted turtleneck sweater under a blazer or sleeveless dress. I’m currently eyeing this one and this one. Modcloth is a site I keep coming back to because not only is it size inclusive, it always has something that speaks to me including a good turtleneck sweater. This one has a soft, ribbed edge on the sleeves and hem that give it subtle details without interrupting the silhouette.

Shifting to turtlenecks for men, my hubby has so many turtleneck sweaters from Zara I’m pretty sure he can wear a different turtleneck every day for at least a month. Towering at six feet and five inches, Lawrence has the hardest time finding turtleneck sweaters to fit his long arms and torso. As soon as the fitting room curtain opened and he stepped out with a smile on his face I knew we were leaving with as many turtleneck sweaters as he could carry. This season, Lawrence is loving this sweater because it “gives you a high neck and a low price.” Asos is another tall friendly brand Lawrence loves and this season he’s eyeing this, this, this, and this from the site.

There you have it! Ten turtleneck sweater options not just for you but for your sweetie too!
