The Best Ballet Flats
DSC_9791.jpg

Did you know the very first pair of ballet flats dates all the way back to the 16th century? Better known at the time as Pompes both men and women wore similar shoes. Fast forward to present-day and not much has changed. Ballet flats are still a timeless necessity for everyday existence, especially for the girl on the go. Whether racing from class to class, traversing from meetings to meet ups, or simply having brunch with you babe, women just like me reach for that faithful pair of ballet flats to cutely and comfortably go through their day.

I don’t think anyone takes the selection of ballet flats as seriously as I do. I’m pretty certain a bill can pass through congress faster than I can choose the perfect pair for my picky little feet. I recently went two years without wearing my favorite shoe in the world simply because the quality, color, and fit was impossible to find and I would rather go without than settle. (Yes, it’s that serious for me.) This is where social media can swoop in and share things that you never knew you needed to know. While preparing my daily post for my Instagram feed I stumbled on an ad for a shoe brand I had yet to know, but whose shoe was what I thought had become extinct.

The Pointe with bow as it is affectionately entitled on MargauxNY’s website is the epitome of what my sole was longing for. Comfortable, classy, and classic (my usual 3C’s in determining my fashion choices) this shoe checks off all of my boxes and the 5 mm of plush foam padding doesn’t hurt either. I had found one more silver lining in the chasm that is 2020. Should you too be in search of the perfect pair of ballet flats please search no more. The Point with Bow has come to save all of our soles and I am beyond thankful.
