What I'm Loving Lately Part 1
As of late, there have been so many things I have been loving and wish to share with you all. This entry will be slightly different than that of previous entires as many subjects will be covered, but in the end you will have quite the list of things to consider. Let’s begin with beauty.
BEAUTY
I wear my hair natural about 95% of the time and so the need for styling tools has been non-existent. Recently for my birthday, I decided to switch my hair up and swiftly discovered that I haven’t a single tool to style my now straight tresses. Although I knew I wouldn’t use a curling iron often I wanted one that was of high quality and wouldn’t damage my precious curl pattern. Summer fragrances can be tricky. Too heavy and every insect will follow you in pursuit of pollen. Too light and you might as well spray yourself with flavored water. As a lover of fragrance, I am quite particular about what scents speak for me. With key notes of Damascus Rose, Peony, and White Musk, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet by Dior had me at Peony.

FASHION
I know I’m not the only one whose wardrobe may need a little post-COVID revamp. While cleaning my closet I noticed that while I was not at a loss for over-the-top pieces, my basics inventory was lacking, to say the least. (I literally couldn’t believe that I didn’t have a basic white t-shirt!) Express recently launched their Body Contour and Fitted Double Layer Crew Neck collections and the items offered check all the basics boxes.
There truly is nothing worse than having a t-shirt that is so thin you basically look wet without trying and so having the double-layer not only provides one with security but also a luxe-looking touch to any ensemble. Last month while searching for an extra special dress to celebrate my birthday I stumbled on a brand that now has me hooked. Aje is a beautiful brand founded by best friends Adrian Norris and Edwina Forest in 2008.
